A Trip to Turkey

Turkey is a land of contradictions. And we mean it in a good way.

Eastern traditions mingle with Western values. Newly built towers neighbour with derelict buildings. Byzantine Christian murals preserved in the basilica converted Ottoman mosque. Yet, in modern Turkey, this contrast, regardless of culture and religion, is capable to harmoniously coexist. To us, this contradictory coexistent is where Turkey's charm lies.

The modern Turkey is a blend of arts, architecture, cuisines, and religions. The historically empires not only influence the European culture through trade, Turkey also carries a part of Muslim lifestyles to these days.

During our visit, we enjoyed exploring this oxymoronic coherency in Istanbul, experiencing Cappadocia and Pamukkale's breathtaking landscape, visiting ancient Roman and Byzantine ruins, and meeting friendly locals. Although traveling in Turkey is transit-wise challenging - a ten hour bus ride connection from point A to point B is likely the easiest and quickest route - we didn’t mind about the long hour travels and enjoyed every moment to slowly immerse ourselves in Turkey’s beauty.

Our trip to Turkey has left us with profound experience and we would love to share them with you at a later dates.
